Facebook Passed 500 Million Users Milestone

Facebook has officially announced that it has passed 500 million users milestone all over the globe. Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote in his blog post:

“As of this morning, 500 million people all around the world are actively using Facebook to stay connected with their friends and the people around them.”
“I could have never imagined all of the ways people would use Facebook when we were getting started 6 years ago. I want to thank you for being part of making Facebook what it is today and for spreading it around the world.”
On the celebration of this huge success event, Facebook also announced a new application Facebook Stories which allows users to share their own stories and also read hundreds of other stories categorized by themes and locations around the world.
